Children's Ministry at St. Anselm

God designed children to worship, too! We have opportunities for kids of all ages to be involved in our church family and learn God’s Word.

All volunteers working in our children’s ministries have completed the Ministry Safe certification.

During the Service

Nursery: Age 0-2

During our Sunday worship service, infants and toddlers (up to three years old), and their guardians are welcome to use the nursery room at the back of the sanctuary. During Holy Communion, we encourage all members of your family to go up for the Eucharist. Father Sean is always ready to offer a blessing over little ones!

Downstairs Hall: Ages 2 - 7

The downstairs fellowship hall serves as a refuge for folks whose kids need a break from the service. It is open at 11:30AM, and should coincide with the start of the sermon and continue through the end of the service.

Rules for the Hall:

1. Parents must accompany their children and are responsible for them at all times.

2. Only children up to 7 years of age and their accompanying adult guardian are allowed.

3. Encourage quiet play. We offer this area to make some room “outside the pew”, but it is not a place for hanging out or conversation instead of engaging in worship. The service can be heard on the speakers downstairs.

We know that there are times when kids “melt down”, have a bad morning, or just need a break. We don’t want that to keep families from worship.  The goal is to help children transition into being in the congregation the full length of the service. We recognize that this happens gradually, and we encourage you in your efforts to include your child in worship.
